Track time across all your desktop applications — not just your browser.
Download for WindowsThis is totally normal! TimeDap is a starter project, so we haven't paid for an expensive code-signing certificate. Windows shows this warning for all new software without these certificates — even if the app is perfectly safe.
What to do: When you see "Windows protected your PC", just click "More info" then "Run anyway". That's it! The app will install normally.
Click the download button above to get TimeDap Setup 1.0.0.exe
Double-click the downloaded file. Windows will show a blue screen saying "Windows protected your PC".
This tells Windows you trust the app. It's completely safe — this warning appears because we're a small starter project.
Choose where to install (default location is fine). The app will install and start automatically.
Windows Firewall might ask for permission. Check "Private networks" only and click Allow. This lets the app talk to your Chrome extension on your computer — no internet connection needed.
TimeDap now runs in your system tray (bottom-right corner, near the clock). It starts automatically when you boot Windows.
The desktop app monitors which program you're using (like VS Code, Slack, Excel) and logs the time locally on your computer. It talks to the Chrome extension so you see both website time and app time in one place. Everything is stored on your device — nothing is sent to the cloud.
